NGC Systems’ selection

HP, through the continued development of NGN
solutions and packet-based services for both
the domestic and regional markets.
Leveraging on the rapid development
and uptake of Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP)
services, a subset of the nascent technologies
that make up what is today collectively referred
to as packet-based services and networks, NGC
Systems is today the first applications solutions
provider to offer a solution of convergence
combining voice, data and multimedia, which
will be marketed under the brand Genico™.
NGC’s Genico™ suite
of solutions offers businesses a tool that converges
data, voice and multimedia within a modular,
low-maintenance, easy-to-use, and resourceful,
fully transparent infrastructure. It offers
mobile operators, fixed-line or IP-based service
providers and large enterprises an unparalleled
edge in diversifying their core business to
meet the rapidly changing demands of their customers.
Genico™ applications
are built on an open communication application
architecture, which offers rapid deployment
opportunities and modular flexibility. Genico™
applications are specifically engineered to
shorten the time gap between new service deployments,
lower critical investment costs and resources
required to proactively roll out new services.
“Our aim in developing
Genico™ is to allow users in the telecommunications
industry as well as service providers a never-before
seen flexibility,” said Dato’ Goh.
“Genico™ is truly
a sophisticated and powerful technology, which
will be export-oriented. We believe our focus
offers enormous revenue generation potential
from commercialising our R&D results, and
that this is one of many signs which reflects
our country’s progress, moving from the
shadows of being a nation of mere technology
users into the limelight of becoming a nation,
capable of technological marvel and innovation,”
he added.
“Genico™ is hence
built on a scalable, distributed architecture,
and thanks to HP, Genico™ today has the
benefit of a highly reliable platform,”
said Dato’ Goh.
