GenCom™ deliver savings, control, responsiveness for SMEs

Back
KUALA LUMPUR – NGC Systems Sdn Bhd, a leading Internet Protocol (IP) converged communication developer in Malaysia, has unveiled GenCom™, a flexible and cost-effective IP communication solution, for SMEs at the MCA ICT Resource Centre (MIRC) Official Launch and Exhibition Showcase. According to NGC Systems chief technology officer Owen Chen, “GenCom™ is an advanced IP communication suite powered by Genico™, a carrier-class Session Initiated Protocol communication technology used by telecommunication, mobile carriers and service providers.” Genico™ has been acknowledged by world-class communication and technology leaders such as Hewlett Packard, Ericsson and Microsoft. GenCom™ is a Malaysian developed innovation, the result of NGC Systems’ research and development labs headquartered at Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

High interest: MCA president and Minister of Housing and Local Government Dato’ Seri Ong Ka Ting (right) being briefed about GenCom™ powered by Genico™ by NGC Systems vice president marketing and business development Terence Chong.

Asides from being fully-SIP compliant, GenCom™ is a compelling reason for SMEs as it has versatile functionality and extremely cost-effective, said Chen. Decision makers and executives in SMEs can make and receive calls using a convenient and single interface on GenCom™ and interact with a variety of networks such as traditional phone systems like Public Switched Telephone System (PSTN), mobile phones like Global Systems for Mobile phones (GSM) and mobile data networks like General Packet Radio System (GPRS) or 3G networks.

“Control is another key differentiator with GenCom™,” said Chen. “GenCom™ has multi-protocol functionality that enables it to work in tandem with any third-party loggers and fully compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002. The digital audit trail is present and will help SMEs focus on their core competency instead of worrying about such compliances.”

SMEs can benefit from cost-savings and increase its business responsiveness by using GenCom™ which offers data, voice and video. “Today, Voice over IP (VoIP) is seen by SMEs as a generic service. It’s just voice. However, IP Converged communications presents extremely compelling reasons as it features data, voice and video. Aside cost savings of as much as 30 to 70 per cent, GenCom™ will enable multimedia communication to take place within a secured and controlled corporate environment.” In addition, GenCom™ features configurable call-controls and communication services like instant messaging, voice and video conferencing, presence management, smart file transfers with built-in encryption, automated voicemail to email and more. It’s specifically engineered for SMEs seeking to communicate with remote or long-distance workers, suppliers and customers or have multiple ad-hoc or project locations. GenCom™ can be used for up to 100 concurrent users, regardless of location. SMEs can use Genico™ to accommodate a higher concurrent user count.

NGC Systems is collaborating with Key Alliance Sdn Bhd and DVM Innovate Sdn Bhd, to showcase GenCom™ at MCA ICT Resource Centre. In addition, NGC Systems has sponsored 20 named user license of GenCom™ to MIRC. SMEs and technopreneurs can evaluate GenCom™ or more information about IP converged communication at MIRC, 3rd Floor, Wisma MCA, 183, Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur.
