Genico™ MRBT strikes a profitable tune
Telecommunicaton operators and service providers
can use Genico™ MRBT
to increase their revenue streams by providing
customized ring back tunes. “The excitement
surrounding Genico™ MRBT
is about its ability to be rapidly deployed
and simple-to-manage underneath the complexity
that governs a ring back tone service,”
said Chen. Genico™ MRBT
is a complete end-to-end system which serves,
manages and controls the value-added service
of music ring back tones.
“We have specifically made Genico™
MRBT for telecommunication
operators and service providers seeking to offer
their subscribers a new personalization service
using Ring Back Tones (RBT)s. The RBTs can be
used and heard by their IP, mobile and fixed
line subscribers,” explained Chen.
In a nutshell, Genico™ MRBT
allows subscribers to personalize their RBT
selection. RBTs are the trrring, trrring, trrring
audio ring heard by callers while waiting for
their call connection to be completed. This
ring audio is played in a loop and only stops
when the call is answered. Subscribers can use
Genico™ MRBT to replace
the default trring, trring, trring audio ring
with music clips, self-recorded audio clips
or sound bites and match it to time of the day,
date, caller’s telephone number or a music
jukebox which the subscriber `fills’ with
pre-selected tones.
“We are very excited as Genico™
MRBT allow subscribers to sample
and continuously update their music jukebox.
This means increased user frequency, leading
to higher Average Revenue Per User (ARPU). In
addition, telecommunication operators and service
providers can offer RBT collections with hit
TV themes, movie soundtracks, popular tunes,
sound effects, popular movie dialogues or even
multi-lingual messages to their subscribers,”
said Chen. This means asides earning revenue
from RBT subscription fee, the sale of RBTs
is an additional revenue stream. Furthermore
Genico™ MRBT has an advanced
management tool for both the administrator and
subscriber. “Subscribers can manage their
account and personalize their RBT selection
using a self-care access via the Web from either
a browser or Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
system.”
An invitation
to profit

suite of IP converged communications,”
said Chen. “We want to share our excitement
about Genico™
breakthrough technology at CISIS 2005.”
