New partnership taps Broadband Telephony demand
NGC Systems Sdn Bhd is teaming with JARING to provide superior broadband telephony services in MY015, a global Internet telephony service

Kuala Lumpur, November 21, 2005 – NGC Systems Sdn Bhd, an innovative broadband telephony communication technology developer, and JARING, the nation’s first Internet Service Provider (ISP), has formed a technology partnership to tap market demand for broadband telephony communication services using MY015, a global Internet telephony service.

As a result of this partnership, NGC Systems will install and deployed Genico™ Broadband Telephony, a carrier-grade broadband telephony communication solution with components like Genico™ PowerBase, a Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) server; Genico™ IPCentrex, an IP central exchange; Genico™ VoiceMail, an IP-based voice-to-email service; Genico™ Web Provisioning, a browser-based operation and management (O&M) service and; Genico™ LiveContact, a SIP client interface and relevant hardware components.

In return, JARING who operates and markets MY015 Internet telephony services has agreed to enter into a revenue-sharing relationship with NGC Systems. The agreement was signed by JARING chief executive officer Dr. Mohamed b. Awang Lah and NGC Systems Sdn Bhd president Owen Chen Chee Onn. NGC Systems is a fully owned subsidiary of DVM Technology Bhd.

Hybrid deployment
“We’re pleased to team with JARING in addressing latent domestic demand for Broadband Telephony communication services. Genico™ offers a complete suite of Broadband Telephony services and ideal for an Internet telephony service like MY015,” said Chen. “Although the existing JARING infrastructure was highly complex, we were able to integrate Genico™ Broadband Telephony into JARING’s larger infrastructure and rolled it out for MY015 in five weeks, a short time compared to conventional deployments in traditional networks which consume months. This is possible because Genico™ is completely software-based, non-proprietary and compliance with open communications standard.”

Complete range of Broadband Telephony services
MY015 Internet telephony services have been enhanced with the recent deployment of Genico™ Broadband Telephony. Subscribers to the service benefit from being able to use a complete range of all Broadband Telephony services. “Genico™ has enabled MY015 subscribers to access Broadband Telephony services like voice calls, video calls, IM conferencing, video conferencing, file transfers, whiteboard collaboration, application collaboration and IP Centrex,” said Chen.

Access from anywhere, anytime
In addition, MY015 subscribers benefit from Genico™ built-in Firewall/ Network Address Translation (NAT) traversal capability. This feature allows subscribers to access MY015’s Broadband Telephony services through any type of network infrastructure, corporate firewalls and proxies. Subscribers are not inconvenient by having to compromise their existing corporate security or re-configure the corporate firewall in order to access MY015’s Broadband Telephony services.

Advanced SIP end user client
NGC Systems teamed with JARING designers to create a customized Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) end-user client derived from Genico™ LiveContact. The MY015 client is an advanced broadband telephony communication interface with immense functionalities. For example, it allows subscribers to make and receive calls from conventional phones, mobile phones and IP phones, share applications in a real-time manner, exchange digital files, engage in Instant Messaging (IM) and manage their online presence.

MY015 and Genico™: Complete and Convenient
This partnership has benefited MY015 with Genico™ as a complete and convenient Broadband Telephony communication solution. Its features and flexibility are immensely important to MY015 subscribers, now equipped with one-click access to a variety of broadband telephony communication services from a single interface, the MY015 SIP end-user client. Asides easy access, MY015 subscribers also enjoy higher Quality of Service as Genico™ manages bandwidth fluctuation using audio clarity prioritization technology. This helps to ensure MY015 subscribers will enjoy a crisp and clear sound when they make or receive calls.
