1. What is Genico™ LiveContact?
Genico™ LiveContact is an innovative and powerful communication productivity application that seamlessly unifies data, voice, video communication and productivity tools like whiteboard, encrypted file transfers, automated voice mail to email, call transfer, auto answering, auto redial - all within the convenience of a single interface. It can be used for personal use or deployed enterprise-wide.
 
2. What are the minimum requirements for Genico™ LiveContact?
. Genico™ LiveContact FULL
You’ll need a PC which is using Windows XP with at least 256MB RAM if you intend to use Genico™ LiveContact FULL for it offers voice and video calls. You can also use instant messaging, share applications and transfer files. The PC must be equipped with audio device like an integrated headset with speaker and microphone and webcam.
3. How long is the trial period?
Full, unrestricted versions of Genico™ LiveContact, is available to anyone wishing to experience its advantages of communications converged with a complete end-to-end communication solution for an uninterrupted 120-days.
 
4. Can I call New York or Jakarta?
You can make and receive a voice or video call to another user who is using Genico™ LiveContact in any destination in the world.
 
5. Why is NGC Systems providing this service?
We hope you’ll make full use of the various functionalities within Genico™ LiveContact. It is designed to be easy-to-use, making use of minimal computing resources and simple to manage - it’s powerful and configurable. We hope it’ll rub off on you and convince you or your enterprise to invest in Genico™ LiveContact or our other solutions and applications.
 
6. Genico™ LiveContact and Firewall.
Ideally, outgoing UDP connections to all ports (1..65535) should be opened. This option results in Genico LiveContact working most reliably. Genico LiveContact needs unrestricted outgoing TCP connections to some TCP ports.

If the above is not possible, open up outgoing TCP connections to port 444 or 443.
 
7. Is there any adware, spyware or hidden stuff?
No. Adware and spywares are terrible and nasty programs which are common in free software. It is used to cover the developer's costs of giving away their software for free and it allows the developer to spy on what you’re doing and use that information to send targeted advertising often using your browser to pop up windows or send you spam. We believe in Genico™ LiveContact and as a corporate policy, do not condone this practice. The version of Genico™ LiveContact is exactly the same as used by our clients, with the exception that this trial version expire after 120 days.
 
8. What if I have NAT modem/router?
Genico™ LiveContact uses a RealTunnel/ NAT and these work great. In fact, we’ve never had any problems. If you experience any NAT issues, ClickToTalk to us or email us.
 
9. Can I call my friends on normal or mobile phones?
The trial version only allows on-net voice calls. This means FREE voice calls from a Genico™ LiveContact client on a PC to another Genico™ LiveContact client on another PC via the Internet. However, if you might want to take advantage of the great savings and low rates offered by:
• JARING VoIP to make IP calls in Malaysia or
• SIPNAL, to make IP calls to anywhere in the world
 
10. I manage a small and medium sized enterprise. Can I use Genico™ LiveContact in my business?
Enterprises, both large and SMEs are using Genico™ LiveContact. It's a complete, end-to-end converged communication solution with mobility. Smaller enterprises and SOHO may opt to use a scaled down version called GenCom™. ClickToTalk to us about your requirements.
 
11. I can't sign in. What should I do?

. Genico™ LiveContact FULL
If you are going through a proxy, please proceed with the following steps.

  1. On your Genico™ LiveContact, click Tools under the menu bar and go to Options. Under Options, go to Firewall/NAT tab, click Advanced RealTunnel Settings...


  2. Choose "Use a secure proxy server" and enter your Proxy server IP address and Port number. If your Proxy server needs Authentication, please add the User ID and password like below.
